A good kitchen is mostly about movement.

Where you stand when you cook. Where somebody sits with coffee while you do it. Where the groceries land. How far the refrigerator is from the island. Whether two people can make dinner without spending twenty minutes saying, “excuse me.”

That is where we start.

Older houses add another layer. We need to understand where the structure runs, how the plumbing is stacked and what the existing framing will allow before the layout gets locked.

Then we design around how you actually use the room.

Maybe that means daylight over the work surface. A real prep area between the sink and range. An island big enough to gather around without turning the kitchen into an obstacle course.

Cabinetry, counters, lighting, millwork and the structure behind it all are handled as one project.

The kitchen should feel like it belongs in the house.

It should just work better than the original one ever did.
