Basement Remodeling
Put a sectional down there.
Add the fireplace. Build the bar you will actually use. Give the kids somewhere to disappear with their friends without turning the first floor into a middle-school cafeteria.
And finally deal with all the stuff that has been leaning against the basement wall since the day you moved in.
A finished basement gives you something most additions cannot: more room without changing the footprint of the house.
The walls and roof are already there.
Before we get into finishes, we work through what the basement gives us. Ceiling height. Egress. Mechanical systems. Foundation conditions. Drainage. Where the stairs land and where the plumbing can reasonably go.
Once those pieces make sense, the fun part starts.
Family rooms, wet bars, theaters, game rooms, guest rooms, bathrooms, storage and the occasional place to hide from everybody upstairs.
It is not really about adding another room.
It is about finally having enough room for the life already happening in the house.
Tell us about the house and what you want to do with it. We’ll come look at it.
